The club had a very successful and low key contest very capably CD'd by Warren Man son Hing this last Saturday. Six members took part with their electric sailplanes. The tasks were all 7 minute man-on-man flights starting after a individual prorated motor run with the run times assigned by the CD to level the playing field based on type of sailplane and 'type' of flier. The simultaneous launches were really exciting and the resulting flying really brought out a friendly and competitive feeling in the fliers. Warren is to be commended for organizing an event that all members, regardless if skill level or competitive outlook could enjoy. The field was in great shape with minimal mole hills and the refurbished picnic tables were enjoyed by all.
